Teaching Children Russian Through Story and Song

Love my Russian Riches enrichment program and want a printable songbook? This is exactly what you need to bring the Russian language to life into your home.

This printable songbook goes along with Russian Riches Program 3. In addition to all of the lyrics (in Russian and English!), we have included additional resources for ease of use in your daily life or homeschooling rhythm:

  • QR codes to audio and video
  • Access to an exclusive audio player with all of the songs for each term
  • MYO Yoto card playlist (we love our Yoto Player!)

The Russian Riches Songbook opens with the PNEU Motto, “I am, I can, I ought, I will”  in English and Russian. It contains Devotional Poetry, Folk Songs, and Singing Games for the year. It is recommended that each child has their own personal copy to use during the current year and keep for future reference. You can keep previous years’ songbooks in the car or a special basket at home for group sing-a-longs on long car rides, camping trips, holidays, and other events!

The Russian Riches Songbook includes:

  • PNEU Motto, “I am, I can, I ought, I will” in English and Russian
  • Six Russian Devotional Poems (Духовные Стихи)
  • Six Russian Folk Songs (Народные Песни)
  • Nine Russian Singing Games (Детские Игры с Пением)
  • English Translations
  • QR Codes to audio and/or video
  • Access to an Audio Player with all of the songs for each term
  • Shared Yoto card playlist
  • Links to additional resources from this program, such as the Stories and Total Physical Response videos.

This songbook compliments Russian Riches Program 3, which is a Charlotte Mason and Poetic Knowledge based enrichment curriculum for learning the Russian language. This program is laid out for homeschoolers, but can be used by anyone who wants to teach their children Russian. It is split into three terms, since that is the most common way homeschoolers divide up their academic year. Feel free to adjust this to fit your schedule better.

This is a PDF resource for printing at home. With the exception of the cover, the document is in black & white to help you save on ink. The color cover is provided as a separate file from the rest of the songbook.

The lyrics are written as they are commonly sung by our community and may not match the accompanying audio exactly.

This product requires at least a basic knowledge of the Russian alphabet.
