Hello and welcome! Христос Воскресе! I’m Cevy, the heart and hands behind this blog. My love for singing at weddings started with singing along with my mom from a young age. Her diligent work in creating the wedding songbook that many of us have come to love has served our community well. This website is dedicated to her and all the years she spend typing up the lyrics to these songs.
We hope that, in addition to this site being a digital songbook, it blossoms into more: a place to learn the songs together, to share traditional recipes and to learn how to pass on our culture to our children.

This blog will also be a window into my world – a place where I share my experiences, triumphs, and challenges as I navigate the rewarding path of teaching my children the Russian language and strive to preserve our culture. For the past three years of homeschooling, I have shared my passion project, Russian Riches, with fellow homeschoolers in our community. The truth, beauty and goodness from that has changed the culture in our home and my hope is for others to experience that as well.

This is a space for sharing knowledge, inspiring each other, and building a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for a simpler, more traditional way of life.
