Gouin Series Method

This beautiful approach to learning languages was created by François Gouin. At the core of his method is the simple, yet highly effective, Gouin Series: a set of statements that describe a process or an aspect of life.

I couldn’t find a Russian Gouin Series resource to recommend, so I decided to make my own! Starting August 31st, I will be sending out a weekly email with a new series. Each series will include a few short sentences that describe an everyday action for you and your children to listen to and act out.

The Russian Riches Songbook opens with the PNEU Motto, “I am, I can, I ought, I will”  in English and Russian. It contains Devotional Poetry, Folk Songs, and Singing Games for the year. It is recommended that each child has their own personal copy to use during the current year and keep for future reference. You can keep previous years’ songbooks in the car or a special basket at home for group sing-a-longs, long car rides, camping trips, holidays, and other events!

The Russian Riches Songbook includes:

This program is a continuation of Russian Riches Program 3, which is a Charlotte Mason and Poetic Knowledge based enrichment curriculum for learning the Russian language. This program is laid out for homeschoolers, but can be used by anyone who wants to teach their children Russian. It is split into three terms, since that is the most common way homeschoolers divide up their academic year. Feel free to adjust this to fit your schedule better.

This is a PDF resource for printing at home. With the exception of the cover, the document is in black & white to help you save on ink. Two color cover options are provided as separate files from the rest of the songbook.

This product requires at least a basic knowledge of the Russian alphabet.
