Душа моя прегрешная –
что не плачешься?
Ты плачь душа, рыдай всегда,
тем утешишься!
Не поспеешь ты тогда плакати,
когда приидет смерть.
А по смерти грехи твои
обличат тебя.
Скинь одежду грехов своих –
покаянием.
А не скинешь ты грехи свои –
ада не минешь.
Страдалицы носят венцы
на главах своих.
Они песнь поют архангельскую –
аллилуйя,

You won’t be able to weep then,
when death comes.
For after death,
your sins will expose you.
Throw off your sinful covering –
through repentance.
If you don’t shed your sins –
you won’t escape hell.
The sufferers wear crowns
upon their heads.
They sing the song of archangels –
